Created by Lukas Carpelan
Welcome to Gyllebo Nature Reserve! Forest and water, pleasant paths and small roads sum up Gyllebo in a nutshell. Here you can walk or swim, and enjoy a countryside that is both species rich and exciting! In spring, wood anemone and yellow anemone cover the ground in the leafy deciduous forests. Bird-in-a-bush is fairly common and ramsons form a thick carpet. The timid hazel dormouse and some of Sweden's most unusual amphibians can also be found in the reserve, as well as a rich birdlife. With a bit of luck you may hear the beautiful fluting song of the golden oriole. Lake Gyllebosjön, with natural nutrients and good quality water, is home to around ten species fish.
